Things you should do before Annual Checkup
For Blood Sample
You should not eat anything for at least 8 hours before taking blood sample.
- You can sip only plain water, if you are thirsty.
- You should wear a shirt with short sleeves that are easy for taking blood samples.
- After the blood sample was taken, you should put pressure on the needle spot for approximately 10 minutes to prevent bruises.
- Please inform the nurse before taking a test. If you have a record of blood disease/fragile blood vessels.
For Urine Sample
- A female should allowed 1 week after menstrual period for urine sample.
For X-Rays
- For taking X-Ray, You should not have jewelry or metal objects on your body.
- Pregnant lady must not be x-rayed. (If you are not sure, please inform the nurse)
For Meeting a Doctor
- You should provide your detailed health record to the doctoe for the benefits of diagnosing such as your history of sickness/disease. The nurse will key in the details on your health records.
- Consult with the doctor about your health and your body dysfunction.
- Consult with the doctor about your check up results and recormending you should follow.
